Where The "Heck" Have I Been?

Hey Peeps...

As you can see, this is a post with no real knitting content. I'm hoping to resume on a more regular schedule once my life settles down a bit.

My Grandfather passed away Saturday at 8:20pm -- seven weeks minus one day from the date my Granny passed. He'd been hospitalized since the day after my Grandmother's stroke and it's been a fairly stressful, sad period.

In any case, there has been quite a bit of knitting, just a lack of time and focus to organize and photograph it all. But I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things by next week with maybe a random post or two in the next few days.

Thanks for bearing with me and for all the kind inquiries as to where the heck (did I just say "heck?") I've been the past two weeks.

You people rock. :-)

Oh my dear, you've had such a trying time as of late. I'm very sorry for your loss. Perhaps your grandfather was so saddened by the loss of his life partner that he had to go be with her. That's a lovely thought that helped me when my grandfather died 8mos. after my grandmother passed on. Take care of yourself and your family. Many ((((hugs)))) to you.

That's a double whammy for you to take but I'm sure your grandad must have missed your grandma. Whether you believe in a next life or not, and whether you believe they are together again or not, at least they are no longer apart.

I miss my gran loads still and she died nearly 3 years ago so take it easy on yourself.

Paula,

Thank you for sharing a part of your Life with your Grandparents. You will be such a fine component of their legacy, as you continue to develop your own. We feel your grief, but in that, there are the memories that become stronger and they will live on.

dHugs, Doug
