Half-Pint
As you can see, this is my new project using Rowan Cotton Tape which I've dubbed "Half-Pint." It's actually "Angie" from the Rowan "It's A Tape Thing" pattern book (scroll down a bit for the book) -- but I modifed the color scheme a little, hence the new name.
Basically, I decided on two colors instead of one. The bottom half will be chocolate (shade 552) and the top half will be blue (shade 551) with some garduated striping where the two colors meet. Hopefully below my boobs. I don't want any errant stripes across my poor little guys. No need to draw attention there. ;-)
You can see what I have so far:
And here is a shot of the colors:
It's knitting up pretty quickly and the Cotton Tape is very light. I think I may actually be able to wear this in the summer on chilly nights out. (Again, assuming someone actually takes me out on a chilly summer night. Ahem).
Aside from it's tapey coolness, this sweater also flares out on the sleeves and waist using a drop-stitch technique. Can I just say I LOVE dropping those stitches? I love it so much, I may succomb to the Clapotis craze just for the pleasure of dropping those stitches!
Here are some close-ups:

My Own Personal Mania (I Must Be Stopped: Part two)
I must be stopped. Seriously.
I now have about five projects going at once. FIVE. PROJECTS. AT ONCE.
People traditionally get manic during the Spring season, so I'm thinking this is my expression of My Own Personal Mania. Oddly, I end up making some progress on about three projects per day, with one project taking dominance. The ones I work on depend on my mood and what my fingers crave in terms of tactile sensation.
Last night it was Cool Cagoule. Earlier in the day, I worked on Half-Pint (a new project) and managed a few rows on my Koigu Socks. But Cool Cagoule took up most of my attention. Today, I'm craving the feel of the beaded merino from my Koigu Socks and I'd like to see some progress on Kyoto in addition to finishing the back bind-offs on Cool Cagoule.
In any case, at least I'm not starting projects and putting them down. I admit, my behavior is a little bit on the ADD side, but they are all coming along and I'll hopefully have some nice Spring/Early Summer pieces I can wear in the next few weeks.
I'll post about each project individually, as I have thoughts/comments on each one and my retentive side would like to have nice, singular posts for each project. Plus, I'm running late and don't have time this minute. But, enjoy the cake of Koigu up top!
Isn't it pretty?
